I’m exited. Hosting dinners more regularly each week means I get to create new recipes more often. And I love this. I love cooking for others. I love seeing the look on their faces while they are having their first bites. It says a lot, if not everything. I love how nervous it makes me feel, a good kind of nervous. The anticipation. Ahhh...
And when they smile, oh the smile... That is what I look for. Every time. Every dinner. Every new dish I serve.

Fall has arrived and so have pumpkins! All kinds. So recipes using pumpkin/squash will be coming your way for a while! There are at least 3 being finely tuned to bring to you.
I have been using pumpkin and butternut squash a lot lately in the kitchen: squash soup, gilled pasta, gnocchi, just baked with a little mozzarella, you name it! I absolutely love love squash in all of its forms. I must admit that I always eat it in a savoury dish, never have I had it as dessert, or have I used it in a sweet recipe. Until now that is!
I do remember that when I was a kid there was often pumpkin in a syrup served as dessert. I never tried it off course, being somewhat narrow minded about what was dinner and what was supposed to be dessert, and squash was not it. My parents loved it though.

I moved back to Paris in April. It has been the best time. The summer was incredible, the food here is insane, I was only gone for six months and yet I missed so much.
New cafés opened here and there, new brunch paces came to life, new restaurants. It never gets boring on the food front in this city.
But the best part of coming back was that I started doing something new and rather different myself. I have been hosting dinner parties at my apartment since the end of June. Through a website called "EatWith" people from all over the world have sat at my dining table, have shared their stories with us and we with them. All while we share a meal prepared by yours truly.
