Chocolate Pots de Crème

Chocolate Pots de Crème

Growing up in Argentina there were 2 main brands for store bought pots de crème: Shimmy and Sandy! We almost never got to have them at home, we were only allowed to eat them for a super special occasion, or as a prize for having done something good (a great report card or surviving a dentist visit lol). I was and still am a big fan! As it turns out my husband also enjoys desserts made for kids, so I decided to make the homemade version of chocolate pots de crème. And let me tell you once you have tasted this dessert you CAN NEVER GO BACK! Smooth, silky, chocolaty perfection stored in a little glass jar that you can keep in the fridge to indulge at your convenience!

One Bowl Chocolate Cake

One Bowl Chocolate Cake

Chocolate cake is my favorite cake. Hands down. I like it fudgy Chocolate Fudge Cake, I like it layered with dulce de leche Chocolate & Dulce De Leche Cake. I also love an easy chocolate cake recipe like this one: no mess, done in under 15 minutes (prepping the ingredients included!), ready for any occasion. Versatile, easy, delicious. I hope you like it too.

Shortbread Crust

Shortbread Crust

One of my favorite desserts is tart! In order to make a sweet tart unforgettable it must have the most delicious homemade crust as a base. One of the first things I learned at Pastry School was how to make shortbread crust and how to line a tart tin with it. They drilled this into our brains! Tarts are particularly important in French Pastry, if you go into a Pastry Shop half of their offering will be tarts in many different flavours and colors. But the technique to making the crust remains the same. Always. Hopefully, this will help you take your pate sable game to the next level.
